As I approach my mid-40’s, I am still wondering who I am, so the idea of an About page holds a bit of irony for me. Slowly, I think I might be, kinda figuring it out, maybe. Ha! Could I be any more non-committed?
This I do know…I am a flawed, yet eternally grateful, daughter of the the most high King. I am a wife of 20-something years to a loving, gentle and forgiving man. I am a mother, who has a filter but chooses not to use it, to two amazingly loving and thoughtful teenaged boys and the most awesome 2nd grade boy in all the state of Texas, perhaps the entire world.
I am an encourager and a cheerleader. I love most children and some of their adults. I love to create and to craft and to write. I am funny and sarcastic, and I have a lot to say.
I’m a daughter, a sister, an aunt, a sister-in-law, a daughter-in-law, a friend, a caregiver and I wear a few more hats. I love discussing different aspects that all of these relationships bring to the table.
My story is about faith and kindness and grace and mercy. It has beautiful bright moments and some very dark moments that sometimes make it hard to breathe. There is a lot of fun here, but also failures. There is joy and laughter and tears and smiles, and an insane about of love that fills it all in.
I share my journey with you to encourage you. To let you know that no matter what season you are in, or what trial you may be facing, someone else has made it through to the other side, and is still standing with a joyful heart.
This is my real life. I invite you to walk through the guilt that the world tries to give us and live in God’s grace with me.
